BUILDING · 11 OCTOBER 2026 · 2 MIN READ

What beta means here.

You should be able to tell what is real, what is ready and what still needs work.

There are working packages on this site. There are also rough edges, closed tests and platforms that are not publicly available yet. Putting all of that behind one shiny “available” badge would be easy—and not very useful.

Three plain labels

Available means there is a current public route to the software. Beta means the main idea works and the build is useful, but testing and changes are still active. Preview means it is earlier: expect limitations, rough edges and more responsibility when installing it.

A screenshot placeholder means exactly that. The build can exist before the product photography does. A coming-soon package is not linked until there is a package worth downloading.

Release evidence matters

For downloadable builds, version, signing and integrity are checked before the link changes. Platform versions do not have to move together: PhoneDrop’s distributed desktop builds remain macOS 1.0.5 and Windows 1.0.8 while a coordinated security update is tested. Android access is managed through Google Play.

The label is part of the product.

Honest staging makes it easier to try something early without mistaking it for finished work.
